Bio
Ann Alvaniah (Alva) Tatum was born in Georgia on November 2, 1836. She married Thomas Jefferson Waller on April 10, 1855, in Lincoln County, Georgia (Marriage Book 1850-1873, page 40). She was the first of his two wives and the mother of five of his ten known children. Alva's children included Mary Alice Broom (nee Waller) (1858 - 1910), *Leila Waller (abt. 1859 - ), Nancy Elizabeth Dismukes (nee Waller) (1861 - 1944), John Edward Waller (1865 - 1935), and George T. Waller (1867 - 1937) Ann Alvaniah Waller (nee Tatum) died September 29, 1868, and is buried with her husband, Thomas Jefferson Waller, in Pine Knot Cemetery in Lee County, Alabama. * Note: Alva's daughter, Leila, is thought to have been the wife of Julius Wilmot Wright (proof needed).
