Charlene Shipman (1937 - 2017) Charlene "Turt" Shipman, 79, passed away February 15, 2017 in Grand Prairie. She was born August 4, 1937 in Dallas to parents, John Charles Gunning and Juanita Fern Gunning. Charlene was a loyal member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Grand Prairie. She loved working in the yard. She was also devoted to her family. Charlene is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Shipman in 2006 and her brothers, Gary Gunning and James Gunning. She is survived by her children, Laura Reid and husband Tommy, John Shipman and wife Charlotte, Paula Lentz, Danny Shipman and wife Pam, Gloria Murphy and husband Chris; grandchildren, Cheryl, Cherie, Brandon, Mindy, Christopher, Shaun, Jeremy and Melissa; numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 2 pm to 4 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Prairie. Interment: Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home
