BENJAMIN "BEN" F. BRINLEE Of Fremont entered into rest January 9, 2007 at 77. Loving husband of 56 years to Dolores. Devoted father to Lisa Ann and Larry Petefish, Larry Brinlee and Connie Abel, Lori and Mark Jardine. Cherished grandfather to Heather, Melanie, Kelli, Christine, Jennifer, and Stephanie; great grandfather to Ashton and Andruw. Dear brother to Peggy Carlisle. Born October 27, 1929 in Holdenville, OK. Ben was an avid golfer, he loved to work out, he enjoyed sports, and gambling in Reno. He was a U.S. Coast Guard from 1952-1954 active and four years inactive during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Parkway Auto Parts in Oakland from 1965-1972 and Brinlee Car Parts in San Leandro from 1972-1982. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont. A Chapel Service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park in Hayward. Alameda Times-Star 1/11/07.
