Verna Hermina Binz (S-Wood) (April 7, 1925 - February 20, 2012) BINZ, Verna Hermina, 86, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. She was born April 7, 1925 in Paris, AR to Stephen and Lena Hellmer Otten. Verna was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by; her parents; husband, Biggen Binz; and sisters, Catherine Geesing, Eileen Worley and Marie Manus. She is survived by, daughter, Sherry Hunt, son, Larry Binz, both of Tulsa, OK; grandson, Greg Hunt and wife Brooke, great-granddaughters, Greta Hunt and Eliza Hunt all of Skiatook, OK; and, nieces, Jeanette Geesing, Roseburg, OR and Elaine Manus, Tulsa, OK. Verna adored her family, especially her grandson and great-granddaughters. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 and Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 both at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
