ELSIE (MIKULENCAK) YOUNG April 20, 1925 ~ February 11, 2017 Elsie (Mikulencak) Young was born to John T. and Albina (Safarik) Mikulencak on April 20, 1925 in Taylor, Texas passed away February 11, 2017. She was baptized and confirmed in the Taylor Brethren Church. She was the sixth child of 9. She attended Turkey Creek Elementary and Thrall High school. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Young; her parents, John and Albina Mikulencak; her sisters Margaret Rundberg, Vlasta Moreno, Idella Rudd; her brothers, Edmond, Alex, and Allen Mikulencak; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is survived by Edith (Kropp) Remosic, Ruby L. Wiesner, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was employed at College Station Independent School District. She loved gardening and caring for less fortunate people and stray animals. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10am at The Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas. A memorial service in Stonewall Baptist Church in Stonewall, Texas will be held at a later date. The family asks that donations in Elsie's name be made to the Stonewall Baptist Church, The Taylor Brethren Church or the Charity of Your Choice.
