Bio

Frances Helen Kocman, 93, of Bryan, Texas passed away peacefully at Baylor Scott & White on August 8, 2022. She was born on December 11, 1928, to Martin F. Kapchinski and Eva Patranella Kosh in Bryan, Texas. She attended St. Joseph grade school and graduated A & M Consolidated High school in 1947. She went on to graduate from McKensie Baldwin Business School with a degree in accounting in 1948. She went to work for Lone Star Gas Company in Dallas until till returning to Bryan to marry William "Billy" James Kocman on June 16, 1956. Where they raised 4 children. She reentered the workforce and worked for the Texas A&M Physical Plant as a Payroll clerk. Frances spent the majority of her life as a loving mother to her family and spending time involved in the children's school activities, sports and spending time at their lake house. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, member of the Alter Society. She loved to travel with her family, friends and with travel clubs. She enjoyed meeting new people and exploring new places. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy, who were married for 29 years, her parents, Brothers Bruno "Doc" Kapachinski, Albin Kapchinski, and sisters, Rosaline Kaczmarek, Teresa "Tracy" Barrett, and Regina Tyroch. She is survived by Son's Michael Kocman (wife Brenda), Paul Kocman, Robert Kocman (wife Cheryl) and Daughter Beverly Coleman (husband Scott). Grandchildren Britney Hindman (husband Stephen), Wesley Coleman (wife Sara), Amanda Halepaska (husband James), Cody Kocman, Katelyn Kocman, Denae Kocman and one great granddaughter Shirley Ann Hindman. The family wishes to thank all of the caring staff and Doctors at St. Joseph's Manor and Baylor Scott & White Hospital (College Station) for all the loving care given to our mother. Contributions can be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or School or to a charity of your choice. A visitation for Frances will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77801. A rosary will occur Friday, August 12, 2022 at 6:00 PM, 1515 South College Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77801. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 600 E 26th St, Bryan, Texas 77803. A burial will occur Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Mt.
