Bio

Helen Delene Hawkins Jeffreys entered her earthly life on May 18, 1935 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Samuel and Stella Ford Hawkins and entered her Heavenly Home on February 5, 2017 in Burleson, Texas at the age of 81. Helen graduated from Bokchito High School and later married the love of her life Franklin Jeffreys on June 13, 1954 and to this union were born four daughters. Helen and Franklin were truly blessed with 50 years of marriage until Franklins passing in 2004. Helen worked for Texas Instruments and later for Lockheed where she retired after 18 years. She was of the Baptist faith and she deeply loved her family. She enjoyed working with her flowers, crocheting, Texas Rangers baseball and the Dallas Mavericks basketball. Helen is survived by her brother, David Hawkins and wife Jessie Mae; daughters, Vickie Jeffreys Ibarra, Molly Redmond and husband Lance and Danette Ellis and husband Greg Keiran; grandchildren, Deann Harmon Brown and husband Baldrick, Jordan Aldava and wife Sami Williams, Sterling Ellis and Caitlin Ellis; great grandchildren, Jacob Harmon, Emily Harmon, Zoe Aldava and Journi Aldava and numerous extended family and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Delena Ann Jeffreys; sisters, Sarah Jones and Mary Wilson and brothers, Edgar, Jack, Dee and Reno Hawkins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Caney, OK. Pastor Charles Howard will officiate. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery.
