Bio
Ervin J. Ripple passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the age of 88. He was born to Jerry F. Ripple and Frances Pollak Ripple on October 26, 1928 in Lowake, Texas. He attended school in Lowake and then transferred to Paint Rock where he graduated in 1946. He received his Associates Degree from San Angelo College. On June 17, 1948, Ervin married Elizabeth Anne Barkley in San Angelo, Texas. They made their home in San Angelo, where he worked in retail sales and management, starting at Sears and Roebuck, and then Hemphill-Wells which later became Dillard’s Department Store. He retired after forty years of dedicated service. Ervin was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church for over sixty years. He was a member of Concho Lodge No. 1260, A.F.&A.M. He was also a Past Patron of Concho Chapter No. 826, Order of the Eastern Star. Ervin was preceded in death by is wife Elizabeth Anne, his parents, and five siblings. He was survived by his daughters, Debbie and Suzanne. He was also survived by three granchildren and six great-grandchildren. He took great pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Adolph, and sister Georgia Warren. Graveside services February 4, at Fairmount Cemetery.
