Lillian married Robert "Bud" Dahlkoetter on June 7, 1949 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanton, Nebraska. They are the parents of Dean & Karen. ---------------------------- Lillian's obituary was added to her memorial on 10-22-2022 ---Judy Johnson Funeral service for Lillian A. Dahlkoetter, 86, Norfolk, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Dan Andrews will officiate. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. She died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Stanton Health Center in Stanton. The daughter of Joseph and Mary (Dvorak) Prachyl was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Tabor, S.D. She attended grade school in Waxahachie, Texas, and graduated from Stanton High School in 1947. After high school, Lillian worked as a secretary for the Stanton County superintendent for three years until she married Robert "Bud" Dahlkoetter on June 7, 1949, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanton. Lillian and Bud lived on a farm in Stanton County from 1949 to 1953. They then lived on a farm south of McLean from 1953 to 1959. They moved back to Stanton County and farmed from 1959 until retirement. Lillian enjoyed farming and growing her large gardens and flower beds on the farm. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling in their motor home for three years, traveling to almost 50 states. Lillian found joy in being a homemaker at the farm. Lillian loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk, a past member of Happy Home Makers Extension Club and Red Hats Women's Club. Survivors include her spouse, Robert "Bud" Dahlkoetter of Norfolk; a son, Dean (Kris) Dahlkoetter of Norfolk; a daughter, Karen (Tim) Else of Belvidere; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene (Keith) Mewis of Stanton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary; her brothers, Edward Prachyl, Emil Prachyl, Raymond Prachyl; and her sisters, Mildred Rezac, Marcella Lincoln and Elsie Skrivanek. Music at the funeral will be provided by organist Mary Bruckner and the Bound for Glory Choir, "Be Not Afraid", "On Eagles Wings", "I am The Bread Of Life", "How Great Thou Art". Casket bearers will be Isaac Else, Andy Else, Rob Marsh, Gabe Dahlkoetter, John White and Ryan Zwingman.
