SARA ELIZABETH GAY 1942-2009 Sara Elizabeth Gay, age 66 of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009. She was a native of Pensacola, the daughter of Ervin and Evie Mattson. She was a member of Praise Fellowship Church. She was preceded to Heaven by her son, Buddy Gay; her parents; and brothers, John R. and James Mattson. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, William J. "Bill" Gay; daughter, Becky Epley & husband Alan of New Bern, NC; daughter-in-law, Susan Gay of Pace, FL; grandsons Ervin Epley of New Bern, NC and Nick Gay of Pace, FL; brother, Don Mattson of Pensacola; sisters-in-law, Mary Mattson of Alabama and Nelda Mattson of Pensacola; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Rev. Lou Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation in her name. Pensacola News Journal 2009
