DIANA: Services for Mina Lee Evans, 91, formerly of Ore City, will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana, with Brother Lawrence Thompson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ore City Cemetery. She passed away on January 19, 2017 in Kilgore, Texas. Mrs. Evans was born May 9, 1925 in Upshur County to Walter Lee and Hattie Idalia Bassham. She retired from the Upshur County Commissioners office after many years and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Mina enjoyed bingo, crochet, and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her children; Janet Evans Blankenship and husband Buddy, Ronald "Ronnie" Evans and wife Shirley, Billy Evans and wife Karen, Johnny Evans and wife Sam, Patsy Evans Askew, Ricky Evans and wife Sheri, brother; Joe Bassham and wife Carolyn, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Earl Evans, four siblings, grandson Keith Blankenship, great-grandson Chase Evans and son-in-law Allan Askew. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 21, 2017, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
