William Edward Freels was born on April 15, 1863 to Jesse Freels and Nancy Emaline Scott . He died August 7, 1935 and is buried in Freels Cemetery, Sunbright, Morgan Co, Tennessee. He married Cornelia A Davis on February 20, 1883, in Morgan County. Their children: Cora Lee Freels, Dora Freels, Hattie Freels b 1892, Bettie Olive Freels, Lucille Freels b 1897 and Frances S Freels. In 1905, he married Julia Ann England. Per Jackie Freels & Susie Owens Kries - Jackie photographed the whole Freels Cemetery, while mowing for the holidays. White Oak Cemetery has a block wall in photo of cemetery. Directions: From the railroad tracks go left to White Oak Church & Cemetery on #231, when you get to White Oak Cemetery, go right about 1.4 miles, bear right again and travel approx. 1/2 mile, turn left and go up the hill passing an oil tank on the right, the cemetery is on the right at the top of hill. Per Jackie Freels you would often need a 4WD or hike to the cemetery.
