Julia Takats Gardner, 88, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis. She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Ennis, the daughter of Anton and Louise Hubacek Takats. She was reared in Ennis where she attended school. After finishing school she entered the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in World War II. After her discharge she was employed by Greyhound Bus as a clerk for many years. She was employed as a clerk for several insurance companies before her retirement. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Arrangements were made with J. E. Keever Mortuary.
