Lester Shue Lester C. Shue, 83 of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2017 in Cleburne. Funeral services will be held at Chisolm Trail Church on Tuesday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. O.L. Rogers, Carroll Marr, and Wade Yarbro will be officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be Rocky Shue Jr., Dan Langham, Eric Plemons, Charlie Langham, Danny McMillian, John Breedlove, and Shawn Woodfill. Lester was born on December 1, 1933, the son of Rachel (Dill) and John L. Shue Sr. Pop was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather and Brother. Well loved in his community and is a Deacon in Buel Baptist Church. Pop was a welder for many years and ended his working life as an electrician and he worked alongside with Mother. Loved to sing and play his guitar. He faithfully played his bass guitar for his Church every Sunday and Wednesday. Every Tuesday he and mother entertained the resident of Grandview Nursing facility and once a month on Monday Evening, they play for Ridgeview Nursing facility. He also loved to Bowl, play golf and go fishing with his Brother Olen (Pug), brother-in-law Vic and son-Rocky Sr. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Holcomb who passed away in 2011; and grandson, Robert Holcomb Jr. Lester is survived by his wife, Darlene Shue; sons, Rocky Shue Sr. and wife, Annette, Bill Woodfill and wife Lana, Davey Browning; daughters, Carmen Havins and husband, Hugh, Melody Myrow; sisters, Georgia Piekoff and Louise Gibbs; 10 grandchildren; 17 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
