There is a graveside service at 11 a.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Marilyn Dickson officiating. Daughter of Frank Steen and Stella Dingler Steen, she was born March 23, 1912 in Campbell. On April 10, 1955 she married Hollis F. Danvers in Greenville. Mrs. Danvers was a retired administrative assistant to the chairman of the State Board of Insurance. She was a member of Northway Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dallas. Survivors include sister-in-law Josephine Steen of Dallas; nieces and husbands Judy Steen and Bob Christopher of Dallas, Cheri Steen and Pat Neil of Dallas and Joel Steen and Tommy Reynolds of Dallas; stepson and wife, Hollis B. and Kirsten Danvers of New Braunfels; cousin and wife Rush and Winnie Steen of Greenville; four great-nephews; three great-nieces and one great-great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972 and brothers Harlan Steen in 1918, Frank G. “Hip” Steen in 1984 and J.C. “Babe” Steen in 1993. Pallbearers will be nephews Bob Christopher, Pat Neil, Tommy Reynolds, and great-nephews Clay Christopher, Alan Christopher, David Christopher and John Christopher. Memorials may be made to Northway Christian Church, 7202 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Tx. 75225 or Juliette Fowler Homes, 100 South Fulton, Dallas, Tx. 75214. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
