Lora "Bea" Nolen Copeland, 73, of Manteca died of breast cancer Sunday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Mrs. Copeland was a native of Poteau, Okla. She lived in Manteca 63 years. She was a licensed vocational nurse at San Joaquin General Hospital for 27 years. She enjoyed listening to country music, playing cards and traveling with friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Garland Copeland of Manteca; children, Barbara Crawford and Kathy Howe, both of Manteca, and Ken Copeland of Dublin; brothers, Wayne Nolen of Cresent City and Jim Nolen of Galt; sisters, Norma Wise of Russellville, Ark., Judy Clark of Meadow Vista and Karen Underwood of Sacramento; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the chapel. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204.
