Bio
Gladys Berry Kazen was born on April 5, l915, in McKinney, Texas. She graduated from North Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, with a major in home economics. She was married to Charles H. Kazen (deceased) and taught school in the Laredo area at Ursuline Academy, Ryan Elementary School and Laredo Christian Academy. She is survived by a daughter, Beth Kilpatrick of Denver, Colo., a granddaughter, Katy Kilpatrick of Boston, Mass., a sister, Buena Skrentner, as well as numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2008, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road, with a prayer service from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will commence at 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow in the family’s plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
