Bio
Ruby Lee Haynes, 97, of Weatherford, was called by the Lord into Heaven on Thursday morning, Jan. 19, 2017 at her home. Ruby was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Crockett, Texas to Robert Claude and Hattie Dickey. She married Oatis R. Haynes and together had five children. Ruby was a LVN practicing nursing in both Fort Worth and Weatherford where she was an OB Nurse. She was a long-time active member of Harmony Baptist church where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She was also active in the Bethel Harmony Extension Education Club for 37 years. Ruby most of all cherished time spent with her family. Ruby is survived by her children, La Raye (Carl) Lester, Thomas (Pat) Haynes, Rick Haynes, Diane (Gary) Stanfield, and Oatis C. (Karan) Haynes; nine grandchildren, Margie Lewis, Kolyn Haynes, Kevin Haynes, Patty Haynes, Wesley Haynes, Julie Braella, Shane Barksdale, Matthew Haynes, and Melanie Lewis; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; by her sisters, Betty Jo Murphy and Sally Collins; and by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
