Bio

John Gilbert Kessler, age 58, of Gresham, NE died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Hebron, NE. He was born October 18, 1958 in Stromsburg, NE. to G.L. and Wilma J. (Kirby) Kessler. On June 9, 1978 he was married. John worked at Tenneco Manufacturing in Seward for 30 years, and was a member of the Gresham Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed raising poultry and cattle, and had a love for animals, gardening, hunting, and canning. John enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren’s activities and especially enjoyed watching his grandson trap shoot, as he was an avid outdoorsman.. He is survived by three daughters and significant other. John is also survived by his father and sister, three , grandchildren. He is also survived by five step-children; one step-grandchild, along with several nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services were held January 20, 2017 at the Gresham First United Presbyterian Church. Interment followed at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
