Funeral services for Mary Virginia Yowell (Vincent) Ridley, age 94 of Sherman, Tx, will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bob Shepherd will officiate and buried at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Arrangement are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Virginia was born in Whitewright on May 8, 1921 the daughter of Thomas A. and Bertha Sue Hicks Yowell. She attended and graduated from Sherman High School in 1939. She began working for the Texas Telephone Company and served 24 years before retiring. Virginia married Holly Vincent in 1941, and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1965. She later married John Ridley on October 18, 1969. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2016. Virginia was a faithful and active member of the East Sherman Baptist Church. Virginia was preceded in death by her two husbands, one sister, Tommie Hollenbeck, four brothers Durwood, Marvin, Ovell, and Carthel Yowell, one great grandson Ethan Sheilds and one son in law, James Hawkins.
