Vera Grigg Services for Vera Frances Grigg, 83, of Tupelo were 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Daniel Johnson officiated. Burial followed at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery at Tupelo. Mrs. Grigg passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in Tupelo. She was born June 14, 1933 at Atoka to Robert and Lela Mae Thomerson Hunt. She married Otis Lee Grigg April 30, 1952. He preceded her in death March 14, 1997. Mrs. Grigg was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her children, Mary Frances Crow and husband Henry of Roff, Edward David Grigg and wife Sharon of Fitzhugh, Harold Glen Grigg and wife Vicky of Noble, Janette Grigg Bond and husband Glen of Stratford, Charles Otis Grigg and wife Bobbie of Tupelo and Brenda Cheryl Grigg and spouse, Tammy Brown of Spencer; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Alvin Dean Grigg and Franklin Dee Grigg; five brothers; and two sisters. Bearers were Tanner Grigg, Tarren Grigg, Josh Grigg, Timothy Grigg, Henry Crow and Alvin Grigg. Honorary bearers were Mike Jackson, Steve Jackson and David Grigg.
