Judy Kay Boaz, 68, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2016 at the Iowa Park Health Center, Iowa Park, TX. Services will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Wichita Falls. Judy was born May 20, 1947, in Matador, TX, the daughter of Clyde Frank Smith and Ruby Kathleen Kelly. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park. She loved sharing her faith. Judy attended Iowa Park High School. She worked for Smith X-Ray Company, Denton County Detention Center and Wichita County Sheriffs Office. Judy’s last job was with child care in Iowa Park which was most rewarding because of her love for children. She married Lawrence Joe Shook on June 26, 1965. They had two children, Lawrence Joe Jr (Jody) and Leesa. Judy was preceded in death by her father, mother and her daughter Leesa Kay Sheffield. Surviving relatives include her son Lawrence Joe Shook Jr (Jody) of Houston, four grandchildren, two brothers Don Smith and wife, Janet of Iowa Park; Frank Smith and wife, Sandra of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
