From The Wolbach Messenger, September 3, 1970, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Funeral services were held Monday at Columbus for Emil Wanek, 56. Mr. Wanek passed away Friday, August 28th in a Columbus hospital after suffering a stroke on Wednesday. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mary, one son, Lonnie, at home; two brothers, George and Joe Wanek of Cotesfield and two sisters, Mrs. Ann Cour of Red Oak Iowa and Mrs. Amy Killinger of Wolbach.
