Bio

John Pinkney Wright was born on March 9, 1871, in Tennessee. He married Elsie F. 'Welch' Wright 19 Aug 1900, Carter, Oklahoma. By the Census year 1910, the records show they had seven children together including adopted child Dorph. Elsie is presumed deceased by 1924 as no records of proof have been found to date. 19 May 1925 in Denton, Texas, John then married Virginia L "Short', 'Wilcoxson', and the records show no children together. They resided in Denton, Texas. Virginia was deceased in 1940. John died on June 28, 1954, in Terrell, Texas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Denton, Texas.
