Daniel was the son of Abraham Lester and Wealtha Reynolds. His first wife was Margret Thompson and his second wife was Anna S. Plummer. Anna's first husband was Benjamin Hill. Daniel was on the 1850 Montrose, Dane, Wisconsin with Margaret Thompson (Anna's mother). He was the h/h of 1855 and 7/1860 Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin with Margrete. He was with Anna on the 1880 Precinct O, Seward, Nebraska with Isaiah H. Hill but Isaiah was shown as a Lester. Daniel was on 1885 Douglas,Nebraska census w Anna.
