Bio

Virginia A. Norwood, 78, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Lincoln Country House with her family by her side. Born April 4, 1938 to Daniel and Leah (Woodworth) Kirwan in Spencer, Nebraska. Virginia grew up in Spencer, and graduated from Spencer High School. On January 30, 1956 she married Carman Norwood. She worked for 30 years for Lincoln Public Schools where she retired as a cafeteria manager. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include: her husband, Carman Norwood; son, Tim (Nancy) Norwood; daughters, Terry (Chris) Weibye, and Sandy (John) Zeleski; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial at Fairview Cemetery.
