Bio

George W. Wilson Well Known Farmer, Dead George Washington Wilson, a well known farmer, died at 10:30 PM, Sunday night, November 23, 1902 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Smith. Mr. Wilson has resided in the county for a number of years and had many acquaintances. The father of fifteen children, he is survived by twelve children. His daughters and son-in-laws are: Ella and Irwin Turner of New Holland, Illinois, Emma and Frank Smith, one mile and a half east of St. Joseph on the Asylum Road, Hattie and John Smith, who resides in the county near St. Joseph, Missouri, Mrs. Kate Travis of Kansas, Maggie and William Stephens of St. Joseph, Missouri, Mary and James Thompson of Kansas, Artie Belle Wilson, Tina Templemore Wilson, Ruth Paula Wilson who reside in the county; his sons and daughters-in-law are: Charles H. and Mabel Wilson, Alva Arthur Wilson, Marion M. Wilson, who also reside in the county. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susan Hays Wilson; sons, Mahlon A. Wilson, George W. Wilson, Fred D. Wilson. The funeral will be held from the Smith residence at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 25, 1902 and interment will be made in Ashland Cemetery.
