Banner L. Wells, 80, a resident of R.R.1, Pennville, Ind., died Wednesday afternoon, July 4, 1990 in the Portland Community Care Center - East, after an extended illness. A native of Big Stone Gap, Va., he owned and operated a hardware store in Big Stone Gap for many years. He is survived by his wife, Lola Robinette Wells; a niece who was raised in their home, Mrs. Paul (Deborah) Moorman, Greensburg; three brothers, Dewey Wells, Pennville, Ind., Kermit Wells, Toledo, Ohio, and Irving Wells, Nashville, Tenn; and two grandchildren.
