Ruth VanHoozer Thomas March 21, 1924 - December 22, 2016 Ruth VanHoozer Thomas of Princeton, Texas passed away on December 22, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born on March 21, 1924 to Freelen and Lula (Perry) VanHoozer in Denison, Texas. Ruth married Willard Edward Thomas on January 19, 1946 in Celina, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Mary Mayfield and husband, Larry of Princeton, Sherry Huddleston and husband, Charles Ray of Celina; grandchildren, Carly Pryor Wilson and husband, Taylor of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jeremy Pryor of Melissa, Seth Huddleston of Celina, Joel Huddleston and wife, Lacie of Leakey, Kim Huddleston Davis and husband, Chase of Erie, Colorado, Ryan Mayfield and wife, Jenny of McKinney, Chesney Mayfield of Melissa; great-grandchildren, Ava Wilson, T.J. Wilson, Kaleigh Cameron, Emma Pryor, Emery Mayfield, Rhemy Ford, Knox Davis, Owen Davis; sister-in-law, Una Bell VanHoozer of Weston; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Ralph VanHoozer, Donnie VanHoozer; and sisters, Edith Hamilton, Corrine Hackler and Ellen Meadows. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
