Bio

Marion E. Bryson, 70, of Mt. Zion, died Thursday, December 22. He was born November 1, 1946 in Pana, son of the late Roy Everett and Mary Elizabeth (Miles) Bryson. Marion Bryson and Deborah Forbes were married on January, 16, 1977. Surviving are wife, Deborah Bryson; children, Robert and Ernie Bryson and Leslie Boliard; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and three sisters. He was also preceded by daughters, Shedena Bryson and Robin Grimes and brothers: Bill Bryson and Frank Bryson, Jr. Marion was a graduate of Pana High School, Class of 1964. He lived his entire life in the Pana and Mt. Zion areas. He retired after 29 years at Firestone when the plant closed. He then drove a truck for Curry Ice and Coal until they went out of business. He was a member of the NRA, and loved farming and also helped a local farmer put crops in and take them out each year. He also liked target shooting, hunting and the outdoors.
