Brown Walker, 92, Greenville, died Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Sorrells-Peters Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was born May 14, 1891, at Clinton, the daughter of George W. and Kate Morrison Douthit. She was married in 1909 to E.E. Brown who preceded her in death in 1948. She married J.T. walker in 1952. Mrs. Walker was retired, but had previously worked for Hopkins Ready Wear and later Henson Manufactuiring (sic) Co. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Jesse L. brown, Greenville; five daughters, Kate Walker, Dallas, Opal Groves, Tawakonia (sic), Ronnie McIntyre, East Tawakonia Isic), Lyda Lynn Conine, New Braunfels, Bennie M. Van Cleave, Odessa; a brother, Buster (Buck) Douthit, Dallas; a sister, Bess Prim, Greenville; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. ---------- Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Thu, 13 Oct 1983, page A2, Deaths, Walker Services for Nettie D. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
