Graveside services for Lorraine J. Ballenger, 84, of Huntington, will be held in the Treadwell Cemetery. Mrs. Ballenger was born April 8, 1932 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Lorene Christine (Kroeger) and Joseph Schumachar. She passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Ballenger was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughters, Lorinda Hatfield and husband Paul and Wendy Riddles and husband Dale; sons, Ken Ballenger and wife Nancy, Clifford "Kip" Ballenger, Scott Ballenger and wife Bonnie, and Wesley Ballenger; a number of grandchildren; sister, Merlene; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ballenger was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Ballenger. Services are in the care of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home - Dec 15, 2016.
