Johnny Louie Holub, 64, of Hubbard, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Thursday, June 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 20 at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Johnny was born October 19, 1947 in Dallas to Johnny and Eunice (Bevans) Holub. He was a graduate of Bishop Dunne High School in Oak Cliff. Johnny was a retired U.S. Navy veteran and worked for the Red Oak Police Department and Ellis County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Fleet Reserve Association. Johnny was a loving husband and father, who gave 22 years of service to his country, his finest and proudest achievement. He was preceded in death by his father John Holub, his sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Gerald Taylor and sister Anita. Survivors include his wife, Diana Upton Holub of Hubbard; former wife, the mother of his two children, Nancy Kephart of Navarro Mills; mother, Eunice Bevans Holub of Palmer; sister, Margaret Lowery and husband, Ken of Dallas, sister, Francis Bennet and husband, Steve of Fort Worth and twin sister, Connie Happney and husband, John of Pensacola, Florida; daughter, Jennifer and Mickey Smith of Midlothian, son, Johnny Holub of Navarro Mills, daughter, Jessica and Chad Mack of North Richland Hills and son, Ashley and Ryan Brown of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Cody, Jackie, Ivie, Kynlie. Lillia, Kampbell, Ty and Kortlen and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Mickey Smith, Ashley Brown, Chad Mack, Cody Smith, Brian Thompson and Tom Lawson.
