Bio

Mary Smith was born in Swan, Taney County, Missouri and moved to Collin County with her parents, John B. And Mary Smith around age 4. Her only sibling, a brother named John B. Smith remained in Missouri when the family moved to Texas and she never saw him again. He was only 2 years old at the time and they may have planned to bring him to Texas later, but the answer to this is unknown. Mary Smith and John B. McAdams were married on 10 May 1892 in Denton County, Texas. She died at the young age of 34 with typhoid fever. (Information provided by Nancy Yankie.)
