Bio
Marie Tana, 95, of Westphalia, died Friday, September 2, 2016, in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Edwin Kagoo officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Mrs. Tana was born November 14, 1921 in Westphalia to Adolph and Rosa Greener Kasner. She attended school in Westphalia and Lott. She graduated from Nursing School at Providence Hospital in Waco and was a retired Registered Nurse. She married Vincent J Tana on May 24, 1947 and lived in Maryland for 55 years before returning to Westphalia in 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, Charles Tana and Lorraine Tana. She is survived by two daughters, Cecilia Tana of Westphalia and Margaret Tana and husband Michael Dymek of Silver Springs, Maryland and one sister, Rita Green of Temple Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
