DECATUR -- Richard B. Cunningham, 89, of Decatur, died as a result of a car accident on Sunday, November 20, 2016, in Mt. Vernon, TX. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Lovington. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, at the funeral home in Lovington. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery, Lovington. Memorials may be made to South Shores Christian Church in Decatur or to the Lovington Christian Church in Lovington in Dick's honor. Richard was born January 27, 1927, in Decatur, the son of Orval and Eva (Behen) Cunningham. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #401 in Decatur, the Decatur American Legion Post #105, Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge 979 and the First Christian Church of Decatur. He was also a member Ansar Shrine in Springfield. He was retired from Crane and Kelly Potato Chip Co. in Decatur. He is survived by his son, David (Glenda) Cunningham of Decatur; granddaughters, Carrie Vick, Dawn Maser and Brooke Maser all of Arlington, TX; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Hayden, Holden, Hudson, Gavin and Aidan all of Arlington, TX; son-in-law, Mark Maser of Arlington, TX.
