Doyle Lee Neeley, age 76 of College Grove, TN died on Monday, November 28, 2016. Born on October 6, 1940, son of George Dewey and Virginia Stewart Neeley in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Doyle was married to Emma K. (E.J.) Neeley for 54 years. She survives along with their daughter, Samantha Lee Neeley Roberts and their son-in-law John Christopher Roberts of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Doyle graduated from East Nashville High School in 1959. After graduating high school he was a drummer with different bands from Nashville, New York City and Miami, Florida. Doyle retired from Nashville Electric Service with 34 years of service. He was also a second generation Blacksmith and crafted ornamental ironwork for both historic sites and private homes and gardens. An example of his work is buried in the Williamson County time capsule at the Bicentennial Mall in downtown Nashville. Doyle enjoyed sharing his Blacksmith knowledge with both the young and seniors. Doyle was respectful, treasured and loved by all he touched. He will be missed. A special thank you to the staff and nurses at Williamson Medical Center and to the staff and nurses of NHC Place-Cool Springs for their excellent care. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers: Members of the Rutherford County Blacksmith Association at Cannonsburg, TN, Norman Follis, Ronald Sadler and members of L.S.F.S.
