Irene was born Feb. 1, 1926, in Brigman to Daniel and Mary Sulak. According to her, they were the sweetest parents on earth. Her fondest memories of childhood were attending spelling bees and math competitions. She graduated from Baylor University after her children were grown. She was a champ in both bowling and dominoes. She loved God's creations in nature, especially birds and dogs. Her gardening was a labor love from the cherry tomatoes to the marigolds to the fig trees. She enjoyed traveling all over the world. Her favorite place to visit was the beach in Galveston. She was known as the lady with the beautiful smile who never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who crossed her path. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Vianco III; and brother, Jerome Sulak of San Antonio. Survivors: Daughters, Denise Vianco and husband, Mitch Johnson, of Grapevine and Gayle Lacy and husband, Walter Lacy, of Waco; son, Edward Vianco IV and wife, Rosie, of Dallas; brothers, Ed Sulak of Waco and Dan Sulak and wife, Gale, of Houston; four grandchildren, Hailey and Anna Johnson of Grapevine, Walter and Sarah Lacy of Waco; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
