Bio
Lenora Drymalla Kotrla, 92, of Columbus, Texas passed away on November 16, 2016 in Columbus. She was born on July 5, 1924 to Anton Paul and Elnora Barbara (Wendel) Drymalla in Mentz, Texas. On October 23, 1944 she married Elo Frank Kotrla. She lived her lifetime in Colorado County. Before retiring, Lenora did upholstery work, was a caretaker, and worked in the cafeteria at St. Anthony Catholic School. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church, St. Roch Altar Society, and St. Roch Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Saint Roch #2338. Also, she was a member of the Columbus Garden Club, and Colorado County German Society. Lenora is survived by her son, DeWayne Kotrla and wife Connie of Columbus, TX; 5 grandchildren, Bryan Kotrla, Christopher Kotrla, Bradley Kotrla, Ashley Kotrla, and Taylor Kotrla; and 5 great grandchildren, McKana Kotrla, Katlin Kotrla, Reed Kotrla, Ashlin Kotrla, and Caroline Kotrla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton Paul Drymalla and Elnora Barbara (Wendel) Drymalla, her husband, Elo Frank Kotrla, son, James Elo Kotrla, brothers, Elvoit Drymalla, Jay Lee Drymalla, and Leon Drymalla, and granddaughter, Whitney Kotrla. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus; a Parish Prayer Service & Catholic Daughter Rosary will follow Thursday at 7:00 pm. Visitation on Friday from 9:00 am to10:00 am at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, 10:00 am at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz with Fr. Michael Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz. Pallbearers are Chuck Hall, Bradley Kotrla, Taylor Kotrla, Reed Kotrla, Darren Menn, and David Adalpe. Memorials are suggested to the St. Roch Catholic Church, 1600 Frelsburg Rd., Alleyton, TX 78935.
