Copied with permission: Shawnee News-Star: December 22, 2006: Freddie Gene Gregory Lifelong Prague resident Freddie Gene Gregory, 68, departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Oklahoma City. He was born May 10, 1938, in Prague to Thomas Edgar and Rella Mae (Harper) Gregory. Freddie graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1957. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On June 4, 1961, he married Linda Faye Linville in Prague. Freddie retired from Southwestern Bell after 37 years of service in cable repair. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Prague. Freddie was a loving family man who was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Thomas Edgar Jr. and Johnnie; sister, Peggy Ford; grandson, Zachary Garrett Ellis; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Dorothy Linville. Survivors include wife, Linda of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Vicki Gregory of Edmond; daughter, Lori Cooper; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Patsy Gregory; sister, Caralee Maggard, all of Prague; grandchildren, Nathan Lee Ellis, Seth Austin Cooper and Dustin Levi Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Prage with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery. A guest book is available to share your memories on-line.
