SHARES A HEADSTONE (SEPARATE PLAQUES) WITH JIMMIE RAY PALLA (#187156103), HER HUSBAND.
Thelma (Jean) Bryant Palla was born May 27, 1932, in Midlothian, Texas, to Russell and Lydia (Trout) Bryant and passed away peacefully at the SPJST nursing home on August 4, 2016, surrounded by her family. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jimmie R. Palla; two sons, Ray and Mark; and two daughters, Loretta Goericke (Carl) and Laurie Forehand (Charles). She is also survived by six grandkids, Greggory Goericke (Denise), Tiernie Howard (Kevin), Phillip Goericke (Holly), Brandon Forehand (Jerri Anne), Jason Forehand (Kristi), and Donna Forehand (Raymond); and four great-grandchildren, Heather Howard, Daniel Forehand, Kinley Forehand, and Dakota Forehand. Jean moved to the Hutto, Taylor area with her family as a young child. She spent a large portion of her life in Taylor where she and Jimmie met and raised their children. Later she was in Lubbock for 4 ½ years and then in Austin for a number of years. Jean was an entrepreneur of the All In One store, of Austin Texas, where she handled a complete line of cake supplies and decor, she taught cake decorating classes, and became the largest Wilton supply dealer in the southwest. She was an artist, a wedding consultant, a designer, a Sunday school teacher, and most of all a loving wife and mother. In 2001 Jean sold her business, which is still open today, and moved back to Taylor where she lived for the past eight years with her husband. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the nurses, aides, and staff of the SPJST home, who lovingly cared for her for the last 3 ½ years. Jean was a person who would take anyone under her wing and was referred to as "mom" by many. Arrangements under the direction of Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas.
