Mildred (Robinson) Peters, age 82, of Ross, passed away early Saturday morning, November 5, 2016 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Minister Danny Archie officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mildred was born March 31, 1934 in Ross, the daughter of Henry and Jewel (Cox) Robinson. She attended schools in Chalk Bluff and Ross before graduating in 1952 from West High School. On August 29, 1952 she was united in marriage to George L. Peters in Ross. Mildred was a Mother and homemaker. She previously worked for Waco Construction Company and Associated General Contractors. Mildred was a very faithful member of the Elm Mott Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, all sports and was known as a great softball player, a very competitive Scrabble player and a master gardener. She had a great sense of humor and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Robinson. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, George Peters of Ross; her children, Jeanna Wendt and husband Tom of Spring and David Peters and wife Peggy of Dallas; a sister, Shirley Tennison and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Ryan Wendt and wife Kelley, Eric Wendt and wife Cassie, Cameron Wendt and wife Lindsey, Wes Peters, Josh Peters, Wade Foster, Angela Foster and Stuart Foster; great grandsons, Collin, Liam, Tristan and Caleb; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Ryan Wendt, Eric Wendt, Cameron Wendt, Wes Peters, Josh Peters and Philip Aldridge. Obituary published online 5 Nov 2016 by Aderhold Funeral Home, Marlin, Texas.
