Arlene Morrissey, age 84, of Lincoln, Nebraska was born December 1, 1930 in Seward, Nebraska. She passed away on March 28, 2015. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and Altar Society Arlene taught elementary school from 1947 to 1949 in a one room schoolhouse and drove a Model A Ford Coupe with a rumble seat to school. She met Gene in Brainard, Nebraska, and married in 1949. They were married for 66 years. She loved her family and raising her four daughters. In the first years of marriage, she made all the girl's clothes. She also loved flowers and art. She enjoyed ceramics, floral design, pottery and watercolor painting. Her daughters are Beverly and husband Lee Doyle, Susan and husband Jim Wilcynski, Michele and husband Tom Kelly, and Joan and husband Ken Benes. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; Michael Doyle and wife Jennifer, Ryan Doyle and wife Tatyana, Aaron Doyle and wife Stacey, Dionne Jeck and husband Mitchell, Jeff Wilcynski and wife Shelley, Angie Decker and husband Jason, Ben Kelly and wife Robin, Andrew Kelly and wife Gina, John Kelly and wife Jill, Alex Kelly, Holly Schlautman and husband Isaac, Jill Benes and Fiancé' Joe Rolfson and Robyn Benes. She was also blessed with 13 great grandchildren; Jude Doyle, Alex Doyle, Collin Wilcynski, Jace Wilcynski, Preston Decker, Avery Decker, Ben Kelly, Isaac Kelly, Parker Kelly, Sienna Kelly, Rylan Kelly, Brooklyn Kelly and Jack Kelly. She leaves behind her sister, Betty Dufek, and sister in laws, Betty Soukup and Bernice Soukup. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 6, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lincoln.
