Services Friday November 4 at Sacred Heart in Shelby. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg is in charge of arrangements. Patricia "Patty" Ann Yochum, age 72 of Ashland passed away November 1 at Oxbow Assisted Living in Ashland. Patty was born September 26, 1944 to Victor John and Wilma Josephine (Hiemer) Krumbach in Stromsburg. She attended Shelby schools graduating in 1962. She then went on to Kearney nursing school where she graduated with an LPN degree. Patty worked in Kearney before she moved to Lincoln where she was employed at Lincoln General Hospital. In 1972 she was united in marriage. To this union four children were born. Patty began working at Milder Manor and later at the Nebraska Regional Center in the adolescent care unit, retiring in 1995 due to her health. She continued living in Lincoln until 2010 when she moved to Ashland. While living in Lincoln she attended St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She was a member of the Lincoln Optimist Club, did volunteer work for VIPS, Newborns in Need program, Friendship Home and was always ready to help someone. She also ran a family readiness group for the military. She was a seamstress, collected dolls and angels and loved animals. She was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Wilma Krumbach, and one infant daughter Katrina.
