Bio
Jean H. Liska, 85, of North Platte, passed away Oct. 29, 2016, at Great Plains Health. She was born July 29, 1931, to Jacob and Marjorie (Huffer) Deines at Cheyenne, Wyomin. She lived on a farm outside of Briggsdale, Colorado, with her parents until her father passed away. Jean and her mother lived in Briggsdale, Greeley and Cheyenne before moving to North Platte. Jean was united in marriage to Robert Liska. Together they loved to travel. She enjoyed crocheting and made numerous afghans. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larrel Moore; a sister, Ala Mae Schaeffer; and a great-granddaughter, Jocelynn. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Melody (David) Keele, Lisa Harper and Malia (Mike) Trujillo; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Brenda K. Lee officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
