Bio
William D. Knight was the son of Friend A. Knight & Martha Ann Benson. He was born 21 Nov 1857 in Iowa. He married Zelma Maria Brown and they had 4 sons whom they raised in Nebraska: - Henry Knight (1880-?) - Fred Knight (1880-?) - William Knight (1883-1931) - Ellis William Knight (1889-1973) William & Zelma had a stormy marriage & they divorced on 22 May 1902 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After that William moved to the town of Park, Sedgwick, Kansas I assume to be closer to some of his siblings who lived in that area. William had been a farmer & farm laborer. According to his obituary he was a retired boiler maker. William Knight passed away on 3 May 1913 in Park, Sedgwick County, Kansas at a local hospital where he had been taken several weeks prior to his death suffering from extreme locomotor ataxia. His body was interred in Sedgwick City, Kansas.
