Bio

Linda Lou Flemming Perez, 78, of Newberry, died Monday, October 24, 2016, at Lexington Extended Care. Born on February (sic, April) 6, 1938, in Emory, Rains County, TX, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Myrtle Edna Williams Flemming. She worked with the Newberry County Council on Aging and was a member of Glory Tabernacle. Ms. Perez is survived by a son, Mark Fowler of Columbia; daughters, Tammy Gowin of Irmo and Heather Waterman of Laurens; grandchildren, Tabitha Guice, Elizabeth Bridges, Joshua Waterman, Brunner Waterman, Jennifer Richmond, Nicholas Fowler and Siera Fowler; great-grandchildren, Austin and Madison Steen. She was predeceased by a daughter, Greta Fowler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 28, 2016, at Glory Tabernacle by the Rev. Joel Mundy. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memory Gardens in Clinton. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
