Harry "Toot" Tootle 1939 - 2006 Graveside services will be held for Harry "Toot" Tootle on Saturday, December 23rd, 10:30 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield. Visitation is Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Harry was born to Marion Tootle and Lula Richardson Tootle March 27, 1939 , in Keota, Oklahoma. He passed away December 18, 2006, in Bakersfield, California. Toot is survived by his wife, Jean Tillman -Tootle; and daughter, Lorenda; son, Harry Dean; stepsons, Tyson Tillman, and Brandon McQueen. He is also survived by brothers, Newt and Charlie; sister, Norma Jean; six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, and many more family members and friends. Harry worked at Kern Oil & Refining for 33 years as mechanic #1, where he was known as "BR549" and as "Fat Boy"! Harry served and was honorably discharged from the US Navy. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards as well as staying in the motor home and going to the sand dunes. Harry had a great love for his neighbors and friends. He was jokingly called the "neighborhood watch" and "bench patrol by his neighbors". Toot will be greatly missed by many.
