Stigler News Sentinel, April 29, 1971 Grover Cleveland Thompson, 86 died April 26 in a Poteau Hospital. Services were April 28 at 2 p.m. in the United Pentecostal Church in Quinton. Burial in Quinton Cemetery was directed by Mallory Funeral Home. Thompson was born in Rockvale [sic], Texas, Feb. 1, 1885 and was a retired farmer. Survivors include three daughters, Martha Thompson of Poteau, Mary Mayberry and Margaret Wyatt both of Tulsa; one sister, Treta Bullard of Stigler; and 14 grandchildren.
