WHEELER - Melvin Tindol, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Tindol Ranch in Wheeler. The children and grandchildren will be hosting a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the residence of Cole Tindol in Mobeetie. The family would like to welcome all friends of both Melvin and the children who wish to attend. Melvin Wade Tindol passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. Melvin was born on Aug. 14, 1933, in Ryan, Okla. He moved to Coahoma on his fourth birthday, and that was his home until he married. Melvin worked in the oilfield for many years, including being a consultant for Noble and A.G. & G. Melvin also had several businesses including a trucking business and building chaps and ropes. His passion, though, was raising bucking bulls. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Tindol; his children, Panna Jones of Oklahoma City, Wanda Patterson of Licking, Mo.., Christy Grayson of Lubbock, Cole Tindol of Mobeetie, Tracy Lane of Hammond, Okla., Mary Ford of Amarillo and Kacey Tindol of Pampa; and a brother, Bill Tindol of Uvalde. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin E. Tindol; his mother, Christine Tindol; and a brother, Grady Tindol; a sister, Frankie Pelton; and a sister at birth.
